KP2006MAR12

9:00 PM NOW:
Doing pretty well!

Busy since last session.
Finger is not painful now,
unless I bump it. It's still
split wide open. I'm taping
it tighter now, hoping it will
grow together. Tom has
been too busy to read Rado.
I took Merrel-Wolffe's book
out of the library on Holly's
suggestion. It's readable!

Went to the horse auction
today. I was moved by all
the broken hearts of the
people selling horses they
really love: family members.
Met some really nice horses.
My dog had an exciting time.

9:07 Things have been going
pretty well for me lately. I
didn't even get too wrapped
up in my finger injury. It was
raining this week, so I didn't
even miss much work with it.
I got some vital reading done
and was high on Understanding
despite some recurring pain.

9:12 Getting rid of that idea
"this is Total Bullshit" seems
to have eliminated a whole
cluster of mental fuck-ups:
I'm no longer using that
thought as a justification
for not dealing with IT.
Now I can hexamine
whatever it is and
see WHAT IT *IS*,
And how I might
handle it now!

Once I let go of that subzero
Identification, my awareness
has seemed to surge rapidly.
It seems that was holding a
lot of other bullshit in place.

[yawn] 9:18 Really not sure
what to look at next. I feel fine.
If my life was like this all the time
. . . I could get used to that!

I might get tired of it eventually,
but now I'm thrilled to be here.

[yawn] [yawn]

It seems like there was some kind
of computation or purpose to get
rid of or handle all the things I
Disagree with or are Interfering
with me Before I can get on with
what I really want to be doing.

Now I see you only have to fix
what actually prevents you from
doing what is needed right now.
Any more is actually a Waste.

9:28 I wanted to clean it all up
and get my whole scene right.
That isn't going to happen as
my next step, and getting
stuck in it stops progress.

9:33 thoughts 9:44

This auction made me sadder than
the last. There were quite a few
small, ugly, underfed, untrained
horses that went for $100 to $300.
I fear they are bound for dog food.

The saddest was an old man selling
his horse. She was a really great
horse: pretty, easy to handle, quick,
responsive, completely obedient:
highly tuned and extremely talented.

He obviously loved her to death.
I don't know what horror forced
him to sell her, but even in their
last ride together he kept his
head up and focused on what
needed to be done: he showed
her off the best he could, and
spoke up for her: trying to get
a new owner who appreciated
ALL her wonderful attributes.

It was ghastly to see that love and
devotion on the block to the highest
bidder, but I admired him immensely
for doing the best thing he could for
his horse, despite heartbreak horror.

[tears]

I hope his horse got a new owner
who loves her as much as he did.

THEY BOTH DESERVE IT! [tears]

10:01 thoughts 10:12

I guess the thing that most horrified
me about it was seeing the love and
relationships so irrelevant to SALES.
The good of the horse is not a factor
in the sale: top bidder gets the horse.

I hate to see families broken up.
If they must be, the loving way to
do it would be to find a great home
for the horse, and THEN negotiate
a price, trade or deal of some kind.

10:20 The way we are forced to
do it now sucks! But at least I got
to share in their loving goodbye!

I got the horror, but
I got some love too!

[Xena, my highly telepathic
dog, comes over to give
me some love and kisses.]

10:26

There certainly *IS*
plenty of horror . . .
but I have love too!

That's critical!

It's the underlying love
which Creates the horror
of the indifferent auction.

I guess the only possible solution
is to Orient to the Love, and keep
on re-orienting as Conditions shift.

10:30 thoughts 10:39

reread [more tears] 10:49

The love is much more
important than the tears.

I THINK THAT'S IT!

10:51 = about 1.75 hours
