Kind of in a flat spot.
Lots of zapping yesterday
improved neck and shoulders
to about where they were before
my chiropractor disaster weeks ago.
[yawn] [yawn] Feel a bit stupid about
abandoning my own reality in favor of the
suggestions/instructions from a supposed
"expert" . . . who actually didn't know what
*MY* situation was at all . . . and didn't listen.
11:43 So I've pretty much recovered from that,
and I have more certainty on what causes that
cluster of pain, and how to fix it. I learned some
new acu-points, and maybe my neck is better than
is was before my fuckup. My sliced finger is almost
normal in function, though still a bit swollen and stiff,
with some missing skin still. I was pretty desperate
during my week of pain and nausea, [yawn] but got
over that as soon as the pain resided. [yawn] 11:50

I haven't worked for a few weeks, and my bills are
coming due very soon. [yawn] I was aware of that
all this time, but couldn't focus much attention on it
while I was in pain. Now I'm feeing pretty good again
[yawn] though not fully recovered, and my attention
is moving on to those circumstances. 12:02

Not sure what to look at. Attention not particularly
CAPTURED by anything. The pain captured my attention
enough that it was difficult to think about fixing it, but I
had enough intention to work through that for a week
or so while in pain. Now I'm pretty much out of pain.
I took the day off yesterday to do whatever I wanted.
A friend gave me some shrooms, so i decided to get
another viewpoint. It was half of last time, which was
very strong, but I still had nice visuals with eyes closed.
I was feeling the energy currents through my body, but
my attention kept going to . . . PAIN! I had a bunch of
thoroughly ignored hot spots around my neck and
shoulders. So instead of doing a session or partying,
I listed to the Beethoven 9th and ZAPPED for hours.
12:16 That really made a difference in the way I hold
my neck and shoulders. Still some tension, but better.

I guess I would be sure of what to look at.

if I have an URGENT PROBLEM that focuses
my attention quite well. That's a problem
for other areas of interest, which needs
resolution. PLEASURE also focuses my
attention quite well . . . which can also
be a problem for others areas of life.
[yawn] In between the carrot and
the stick, [yawn] [yawn] my
attention tends to wander.

freely flowing attention.

I DISLIKE having my attention
trapped in pain, job, stupid work
etc. I LIKE have my attention lost
in pleasure, but recognize that too
much focus on that pleasure can have
ominous consequences. Pretty girls
DO cause pleasureyesd traffic death!

When my attention is trapped in pain
or some problem, extant or immanent,
it's very hard to get my attention free
enough to consider how to handle it.

Then when the problem is handled,
my attention seems rather loose, not
particularly focused . . . or non-focused.
I'm kind of gently scanning everything.

Then if I find a pleasure area, I put
more and more attention on that.

Sometimes that seems to completely
immerse me in the pleasure [music, sex,
food, whatever] and I forget about the
rest of the world, so that seems like a
narrowing of attention. But sometimes
plunging completely into that small area
of pleasure or focus seems to get it firmly
in the groove, and opens a parallel groove
right next to it. When I'm "in the groove"
playing racquetball, not only am I flowing
smoothly all over the court without effort,
but my mind is working hexceptionally fast
too, so I am contemplating my opponent
and his psychology and moves as well as
admiring my own dazzling performance.

"Ordinarily" I'm not a very good dancer, or
singer, or musician. However, in the right
situation, when I get in synch, focus on the
sound and rhythm, let my fauxbye'as and
hangups recede into the background, and
feel the holy spirit of harmonic congruence
flowing through me, THEN I can sing and
dance and drum just fine all at once, while
resolving formerly insolulable philosophical
dilemma's and questions in my mind, and
maintain telepathic contact with the band.
. . . or answer everybody's questions with
only the highly tunable sound of "mMmm M!"

Those peak hexperiences are the guiding
light of my purpose or intention. I *LOVE*
being there so much I want to get back
there and stay forever, or at least until
something better comes along. I do see
some people who appear to be "in the
groove" all the time, but I am not one
of them. I was a SHOCK to me when
I discovered there was a groove to
get into. Now I'd like to be in control
of getting there and staying there.

Part of it is being pain free, or at least
getting your attention off the pain for
a while. . . . OH YES! That makes a lot
of sense. That explains a huge amount
of my life. When you are in constant
physical pain, you HAVE to be psychotic
to have a good time. The only way I
functioned at all was by ignoring pain
through a huge effort of will. Bummer!

I would have been much better to get
rid of the pain first, but no one I knew
had any idea how to get rid of physical
or mental pain [having a nurse for a
mother is NOT a help for either]. The
only way I could have any kind of a life
at all was by savagely supressing both
physical and emotional pain. It wasn't
much of a life . . . but I did manage to
gather enough information to start
to turn my situation around. OK,
it's turned around now, but it
still needs to get MOVING
in the right direction.

[yawn] My sessions lately seem to
be so EASY. I wonder if maybe I am
"cheating" some how. But I think
that's not true, it's just that I'm
mostly dweling in a better state
of mind now, and it is EASIER to
make gains now that it was. It's
not a fight to the death any more.

However, it's still easy to make
Error and Mistakes that have bad
consequnces, like putting me right
back in pain again, so it still requires
careful attention to back and foreground.

Shrooming yesterday and listening to my
body and attending to it was a right action.
Doing a session today was the right action.

I really want to get back to my peak
hexperience awarenesses on a
permanent basis. If there's
something even better, I'm
willing to look at it: then!

I'm sure this session
won't satisfy Frank,
but it satisifies me,
at least for now.

I see some things
a little clearer now.
That's a step ahead.

It seems like a lot of time
for some minor gain, but
any gain is not minor. I'll
take it and be thankful.
