HIGH NOON NOW:
Trying to work while in pain.
I got a free chiropractic session
last sunday, from a guy I really
like. Unfortunately, I have been
in pain since, with a huge knot
in the middle of my back that
I had for 20 or 30 years, but
has been gone for a few now.
I've been working on it every
day. Sometimes it seems a
little better, but it's still here.
This depresses and frightens
me. Will it take another 20 or
30 years to get rid of again?
I don't like remembering what
life used to be like in eternal
pain. And I don't lilke it now.
Also, another tooth has gone
sore and swollen way up into
the root by my cheekbone.
I want to zap it, but my good
zappers are dead right now.
The one that works is not at
all designed for what I want
to do with it. It's really for
needles, which I dont' use.
I've wanted to buy a new zapper
for a year or two now. But that's
another $300 I don't have.

blockage or collapse due to
tooth dying? Or are both

constant pain again, which

of out. What a pain! Again!

was in constant 24/7 pain,
and didn't know if I would
ever get out of it, but I
was most frantic too.
After like 40 years of
non-stop nagging pain,
I finally got out of it and
got used to being out.
I thought I had escaped.
Now I'm back in it again:
the very same pain again
in the most urgent case.
[yawn] At least I know
that it IS POSSIBLE to
get out again, as least
in some situations for
the short term, maybe.
[yawn] At least I know it
IS possible to be pain free,
even if only temporarily. I
did NOT know that before!

to focus my attention on the pain,
and think the same thoughts I did
before when I had the same pain.

I thought about that. I questioned it.
As the pain was a major focus of my
attention, so too were the my ideas

hexpectations and predictions. I see
now that by focusing on the Question
"Could I EVER get out of pain?", I was
mocking up the pain as cause=threat.
That implies I will ALWAYS be in pain!

electrode from my $3K zapper
working on the needles box!
Way cool! *OUCH!* I tried this
before and it didn't work, so I
forgot about it. But now it
seems the problem is just
a bad cable or connection.

Two disfunctional zappers
weren't enough, but adding
the electrode from the third,
a cable from my stereo gear,
and debugging the connection
GIVES ME ZAPPER FUNCTIONALITY
ONCE AGAIN. It's not particulary
elegant or convenient. In fact it's
somewhat clumsy and awkward.
The locate function is really bad.
If I want sensitive detect, I have
to put the electrode back on my
big machine: BUT IT DOES WORK!

This certainly has been
an interesting session!
I cured my black mood,
redesigned my zap mode,
gave my self some zaps . . .
and got an effective

fending off loving attacks

Things mostly going well.
Keep thinking about the
old man and his horse.
Eating SO WELL lately!
The trash can I sliced my
finger in yielded a quart
of super-catering quality
pesto sauce, and 21 oz of
french sheep fetah cheese!
Really busy. Trying to get to
Merrell-Wolff's Experience and
Philosophy, and several others.
No time so far, though I have
been reading lots of news.
Haven't worked in almost two
weeks now, about down to my
last $20 of ready cash: time to
worry about gas soon, and some
bills coming up fairly soon. Still,
I was half sick with a sore throat,
plus my sliced finger, but I still
made headway in several areas.
Back to scrubbing pans at the
dining room where I eat three
days a week. Feels good to be
back on the crew after a week
off with my sliced finger. Nice to
be taking food home again too.
My dogs definitely appreciate it!

I had to laugh about how I'm
getting my food. I've been
dumpster diving [on and off]
since I was a kid. I used to
browse the garbage cans on
the way to school as a kid.
The neighborhood doctor
had some really neat stuff.
Anyway, I used to have this
great dumpter I got about
20 pounds of meat out of
every week. Then a couple
of years ago it just dried up.
What I bummer!
No more free meat!
NOW I realize that dumpster
is dry because they give the
post dated meat to the very
organization I wash dishes for!
NOW THEY BRING IT TO
ME AND COOK IT FOR ME!
Everything they decide is
out of date, or has a spot
of mold on it, or there isn't
enough of to cook big with,
goes right in my garbage can!
I'm the top of the food chain,
and the last hope for discarded
food not to go to the landfill!
Ironically, we never let anyone
get near OUR DUMPSTERS, so
if I don't rescue it, it's garbage!
That's about as karma-free as it gets!
I had a great laugh when I realized
just what position I am now in!
The Dumpster Diver's Dream job!
All the serving pans come to me,
and the ones with meat juice gravy
and pieces of meat are all rescued!
[yawn] 3:00 [yawn] [yawn]
I keep thinking about the old man
having to sell his wonderful horse.
I find myself crying whenever I
try to look more closely at it.
I was crying at the sale too.

He may have badly needed the money,
I really don't know why he had to sell.
I suspect economic catastrophe, or
perhaps ill health or impending death?
I certainly wasn't something he wanted
to do at all. He *RADIATED* GRIEF. He
also radiated pride and love. He told us
a how wonderful she was, not to BS the
price up, but so we would KNOW how
wonderful she was. It was all about
finding her a new home with someone
who loves her and protects her, because
they appreciate her talents and use them.
[tears] How many horses win that
kind of love from their owners?
How many owners show that kind
of love for their charges? He
wasn't up for sale, but if I was in
the market for a horse, I would
have been bidding on that one!
SHE'S A GUARANTEED KEEPER!
Seeing that partnership in action
was thrilling in it's loving beauty.
Seeing it broken by forced sale
was sad and ugly in hextremis.

Ten years ago, living in a lovely
trailer park, full of speed freaks.
One of the speed freaks, who I
thought was my friend, decided
to send my dogs to the pound
while I was a work. She got
the one she liked sent to the
pound, and kept there for a
couple of weeks. When he
got out he was sick, but I
didn't realize it. He finally
died because I didn't know
what was wrong with him
or how to get him well.
I was broke and unemployed and
I couldn't kill her or her dog, which
I *SO MUCH* wanted to do. I had
horror stomach and self-hatred
every time I had to NOT kill her
with my bare hands. Not killing
her made me ill every day.
Ugliness and horror ruled,
and I couldn't see anything
I could do about it then.
When I went to work, my
surviving dog was more or
less at her psychotic mercy,
and he was the one she was
trying so hard to have killed.

Got to go to town now:
I can pick this up later.
